It was another nice day around the North State on Thursday, and even warmer (and windier) weather is coming Friday. Much colder next week!
High pressure continues to keep us warm and dry, and that will continue through the weekend. Gusty north winds will develop in the Sacramento Valley Friday... look for gusts up to 25 mph, which will diminish Friday night.
The nice weather continues into Monday, but that'll be the end of it. A COLD storm will drop south from the Gulf of Alaska Tuesday, and bring us major changes! This storm doesn't have much moisture, so it looks like only around 1/4" of rain for us in the Valley. But it has plenty of cold air! Snow levels will drop to near 3000' by Tuesday afternoon, and down to at least 2000'-2500' Wednesday morning! If you're going to be traveling over the mountains for Thanksgiving, plan on snow both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thanksgiving itself will be dry, but chilly. Cold weather for the Run For Food in Chico and the Turkey Trot in Redding!
