Sunny skies, warmer afternoon temperatures, stronger winds, and low humidity levels are ahead for north state farmers on this Thursday. Temperatures are actually much cooler for the valley this morning, with mid valley locations dropping into the low to mid 50's. The northern end of the valley is a bit warmer, with high 50's to mid 60's to start off the day. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to be quite a bit warmer, with most areas resting in the mid 80's to low 90's later on today.
Winds will continue to be breezy today, and are projected to be out of the North from 10 to 20mph this morning, before slacking a bit this afternoon. Humidity values are expected to trend towards being very dry. Relative humidity values will fall to between 10 to 20% this afternoon.
Winds will be slacking by tonight, as a ridge of high pressure builds into California, but the hot trend will only be ramping up into the weekend. Expect temperatures to climb into the low to mid 90's in the valley.
