Average to slightly below average temperatures are ahead for your Monday Farmcast. Valley areas are starting out the day in the high 50's to mid 60's, and are only projected to climb into the low to mid 90's this afternoon. Winds will be out of the South up to around 10mph, and humidity values will fall to between 10 to 20 percent this afternoon. Your Monday morning sunrise is set for 5:40am, and sunset will be at 8:39pm.
The mild heat will be very short lived as mid 90's to triple digit temperatures are ahead for the valley on Tuesday. By Thursday, the entire valley is projected to climb past the century mark, with Redding topping out at 110 degrees. On Friday Chico is projected to hit 107 degrees, while Redding is expected to climb to 112 degrees. The extreme heat, and dry conditions will lead to a significant increase in fire danger. Please make sure to make preperations for the hot weather ahead, and get as much as you can done in the milder conditions outside today.
