Warm & Active Weather Ahead For The North State

Mostly sunny skies, and warmer temperatures are ahead for your Wednesday. A blanket of clouds has trapped in more heat overnight, and has left the region with much warmer temperatures than 24 hours ago. Valley areas are starting out in the low to mid 60's this morning, and are projected to climb into the mid to high 80's this afternoon. Mountain areas have dipped into the mid 40's overnight, and are expected to climb back into the 70's later today. Mostly sunny skies are expected for the region, but more clouds could arrive in the Northern Mountains as early as this afternoon. The Northern Mountains will have a slight chance of showers late in the day, with the potential for showers spreading across the region over the next few days.

Temperatures will continue to climb through Friday, and are expected to top out in the high 80's to low 90's in the valley. Increasing clouds will take a hold of the north state over the next several days, and there will be a good chance for showers in the mountains. There will also be a slight potential for showers in the valley. The chance for thunderstorms will also return over the next few days. There is the potential from tropical moisture from Hurricane Andres and Tropical Storm Blanca to wrap into the storm system, providing locally heavy rainfall rates at times. I hope everyone is ready for the heat to return, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
