Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko has confirmed that human remains found in Humboldt County Friday night are those of triple homicide suspect Shane Miller.
Miller's remains were located in the Petrolia area on Friday around 11 p.m. and The Shasta County Sheriff's Office issued a statement confirming that the remains were Miller's Sunday.
Dental records were used to confirm that the remains were in fact Miller's.
Sheriff Bosenko told Action News Now that no information is available about Miller's cause or time of death.
The remains were found in close proximity to where Miller's truck had been abandoned and investigators reportedly found Miller's wallet, with his driver's license in it.
The 45-year-old Miller, accused of killing his 34-year-old wife Sandra and young daughters Shelby and Shasta in May 2013, has been on the run and is listed on the U.S. Marshals "Most Wanted Fugitives List".
Miller was featured on a CNN show "The Hunt with John Walsh" on July 13.
