The "Wall that Heals" arrived in Willows Thursday with a full motorcycle escort by the Missing in America veteran’s project.
The wall is a replica of the Vietnam Veteran's memorial in Washington D.C. ... it's half the size of the original.
Both walls honor the more than 3 million Americans who served in the armed forces during the Vietnam War, including the 58,000 men and women who died serving in it.
Dan Roach, retired infantry major, said he hopes many people get a chance to come see the wall.
“We're hoping that since its open 24 hours a day and at evening it's going to be nice and quiet that those vets that haven't reconciled with the wall, with their buddies that they do come. You know, we'll spend time with them. We will be with them, and allow them to reconcile that experience that they have."
The “Wall that Heals” opens to the public tomorrow at the memorial park on sycamore street in willows.
It is free to visit ... and there will be special opening and closing ceremonies each day by local veteran’s organizations.
