A store in Chico is providing developmentally disabled adults with jobs. All Fired Up has been a ceramic supply store since 2007 and was acquired by the Work Training Center this October. Renee Friemoth has been a job coach for the Work Training Center for 13 years, and she says helping developmentally disabled adults find jobs is rewarding.
W.T.C. is a nonprofit organization that assists people with developmental disabilities by helping them find jobs. Former store owner Janice Hofmann will be training W.T.C. clients to perform a variety of jobs. The store will continue to provide ceramics classes, artist support services, and private parties. W.T.C. clients will have the chance to learn different tasks in a creative setting. Hofman says she’s happy to be helping those in need. The store currently has 1 W.T.C. client employee and is expecting at least 12 more by the end of the month.
