The Butte County Veterans Services Office is looking for volunteers to assist with various outreach programs, and interested applicants can attend a Town Hall meeting Tuesday night.
The County Veterans Service Office works as an advocate for those who have served in U.S. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Reserves and National Guard and their family members in receiving the benefits and services earned through military service. These benefits and services include; pension, service connected compensation, aid and attendance, housing, employment, counseling and much more. The Veterans Services Office also works with a network of providers to connect all veterans and their dependents with exactly what they need.
A seminar will be held Tuesday July 7th, 4 p.m. to discuss the volunteer opportunity and to answer any questions. The seminar will be held at the Chico Elks Lodge, 1705 Manzanita Ave.
