After leaking for the last 20 years, the roof of fire station one in Paradise is finally being replaced.

Members of the Alliance Kingdom Builders are volunteering labor for the project. The 27 volunteer builders approached town officials recently asking how they could help.

The volunteers quickly found out there was money for roofing materials, but no way to pay for the labor. They started work on the roof last Saturday.

Workers say the roof will be water tight by this weekend, but it may take another few weeks to finish the project.

The value of the free labor is estimated at $150,000.
