Victim in deadly Chico stabbing identified

The man who was stabbed and killed outside 7-11 in downtown Chico early Sunday morning has been identified as 44-year-old Randall Sexton, a known transient.

Chico Police arrested two suspects Sunday in connection with the murder, Stephanie Vogel, 23, and Joshua Epstein, 30, both transients. The two suspects were reportedly seen in a violent fight involving weapons in front of the 7-11 at 101 Main Street.

According to police, Vogel was spotted and picked up less than a block away, just after the alleged fight. Epstein was located and arrested at E. 1st Avenue and Mangrove Avenue around 8:00 a.m. Sunday. Both are expected to be charged with murder.
