Heavy rain/snow showers, and strong South winds are ahead for your Thursday. Snow levels have dipped to around 3000 feet early this morning, but those are expected to lift to around 4000 feet this afternoon. Valley areas can expect heavy showers, and the potential for thunderstorms throughout the day. The best chance for thunderstorms will be ahead for this afternoon, but the majority of the rain is expected to fall this morning. Temperatures have dipped into the high 40's to low 50's in the valley, and into the low 30's to low 40's in the mountains. High temperatures are projected to be in the high 50's to low 60's in the valley, and in the 40's for the higher elevations this afternoon. Winds will be out of the South up to around 25mph, with gusts possible up to around 45mph.
More rain and snow are ahead for your Friday. The majority of the precipitation will fall during the afternoon, and evening hours on Friday, then the wet weather will taper off early Saturday morning. Snow levels will mostly hover around 4500 feet tomorrow. Dry, and warming conditions will be ahead for the upcoming weekend. Valley areas will climb back into the mid to high 60's by Sunday afternoon. Sunny skies, and mid 70's will be ahead for the valley on Monday. The next potential for wet weather will return to the region towards the middle of next week. I hope everyone stays safe on the wet roads across the region today, and has a great Thursday!
