MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (AP) - An 18-year-old Vermont college student who disappeared in 1971 was last seen near a health food store owned by millionaire murder suspect Robert Durst.
Middlebury Police say Durst owned and operated All Good Things, a store near where Middlebury College student Lynne Schulze was spotted Dec. 10, 1971. The store's name was the title of a lightly fictionalized 2010 movie about Durst.
The 71-year-old Durst is a member of a wealthy New York real estate family that runs 1 World Trade Center. He's charged with killing a woman 15 years ago in Los Angeles.
Middlebury police acknowledge the link between Durst and Schulze. They reopened the case in 1992 and say they have gotten leads since then. They didn't elaborate.
Middlebury police scheduled a press briefing on the case Tuesday afternoon.
