PG&E helped kids plant trees at an elementary school in Redding this Arbor Day.
Students from Boulder Creek Elementary learned about trees, then got to plant some.
Eight trees went into the ground. Kindergartners didn't seem to mind the physical labor.
“Today I got to plant a tree and I liked to use the shovel,” kindergartener Alyssa Moore said.
“I liked about putting the soil, they make you shade,” kindergartner Roman Williams said.
“(Trees) help nature,” said Liam Fontane, another kindergartner at Boulder Creek.
Local PG&E crews sponsor this tree planting event each year.
