A law enforcement dog injured during a pot bust Thursday morning will be okay thanks to the treatment she received at a Chico animal hospital.
Jackie sustained a head injury along with damage to her mouth while trying to apprehend a suspected marijuana grower in the Lassen National Forest.
After suffering the injuries, Jackie’s condition began to quickly decline so she and her handler were airlifted to Valley Oak Veterinary Center of Butte County.
Jackie was treated and is expected to make a full recovery. Paul Zohovetz, Chief Law Enforcement Officer for Lassen National Forest says Jackie could be back on duty by Saturday.
