Jun 1, 2013 9:16 PM

Cal Trans opened the road up Saturday morning around 6:30. Friday afternoon, a semi-truck carrying 10,000 gallons of fuel crashed, slowly spilling 3,000 gallons of fuel into the ground. The road was blocked off around the scene throughout the night and into the early morning hours as a HAZMAT team worked to stop the fuel from spilling into the ground. The driver told a witness on the scene that he swerved to avoid an oncoming car in his lane. It's not clear if he will be charged. No injuries were reported. Photo courtesy of Jayne Franck.
