UPDATE: Chico stabbing victim dies, persons of interest sought

UPDATE: The victim in a South Chico stabbing has died and detectives have identified two persons of interest who they want to speak with. Just before 8 Thursday morning officers were called to a reported fight outside a home at Mulberry and West 23rd streets. At about the same time a woman called to say she was driving with the victim in the car with her. Officers stopped her car on the Esplanade near West 2nd Avenue, and medics took the man who was stabbed to Enloe Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His name has not been released. Detectives are now calling this a homicide case. They've identified two Chico residents who left the scene of the stabbing who they want to talk to.
They are 30-year-old "Michael Patrick Anderson" and 27-year-old Brandy Jane Hernandez."
