UPDATE: Chico Police say they've arrested Jae Roy Shields, 27, of Oroville, in connection with an attempted robbery at MetroPCS on Broadway Saturday. Investigators say Shields waited while the salesperson helped another customer, then when that person left, demanded money. When the salesperson refused, they say Shields threatened to shoot the employee, though no weapon was seen. Shields was located under a bridge a short time later, and arrested at charged with Attempted Robbery.

Chico Police are on the hunt for a man they say walked into the MetroPCS on Broadway Street and demanded money. It happened Saturday afternoon, when the salesperson said a man walked in and said he had a weapon, but didn't show a weapon. He demanded money from the salesperson, but investigators say another customer walked in and scared him away. He was last seen walking down Salem Street. There were no injuries in connection with the incident.
