UPDATE: Shasta County Sheriff’s announced Friday that they apprehended the second suspect sought in the attempted arson in Anderson.

Mark Blake, 55, was found around 1:30 p.m. Thursday and subsequently arrested.

He is facing charges of making terrorist threats and attempted arson. Blake is also wanted for warrants out of Shasta County for probation violations and vandalism. Blake has priors for assaults on peace officers.

Shasta County investigators are searching for a man who, along with a woman, allegedly drenched a bedroom with gasoline over a rent dispute.

Blake, and 42-year-old Semone White, are accused of smashing out the window of a home at the 6900 Block of Banigan Road in Anderson early this morning.

Deputies said the suspects poured gas into the room where two tenants were sleeping because they had not been paying rent.

White was arrested on scene, however, Blake fled before deputies arrived.
