Showers and thunderstorms continued around the North State today, and they're not stopping tomorrow... In fact, they'll go through Saturday!
It was another day of scattered showers and thunderstorms across the North State, with scattered being the key word. Some areas saw hardly any rain, whereas Chico picked up 2/3" of rain, just through 6pm! Orland and Corning were similarly wet, while Redding & Paradise were pretty dry. That kind of hit-and-miss wet weather will continue through Saturday, as low pressure continues to work through California, keeping the atmosphere unstable. Not quite as unstable as Wednesday, however... today's thunderstorms weren't that strong, unlike the big ones we saw on Wednesday! Future thunderstorms should be fairly weak as well.
Low pressure will finally move east by Sunday, and we'll enjoy a dry and sunny day for mom on Mother's Day. High pressure returns next week, and so does the heat... Valley highs will be near 90 by the end of next week!
