It was another sunny & mild day around the North State Tuesday... look for the nice weather to last through Thursday. Friday and Saturday look cooler and unsettled!
The winds finally died down and temperatures cooled down early Tuesday morning. Chico started at 31 degrees, while many higher mountain locations had lows in the teens! Abundant sunshine warmed us all up nicely, however. Wednesday morning won't be as cold, and the afternoon looks nice and warm yet again. Thursday looks pretty similar to Wednesday.
A cold, unsettled but moisture-lacking storm will arrive Friday and linger into Saturday. This storm will bring us a few showers, but since it's pretty dry, not too many. Snow levels will drop to near 3500' by Saturday as it's one of the cooler storms we'll see this winter. That cool air will also mean it's somewhat unstable; there will be a chance for afternoon Valley thunderstorms on Saturday... But only a slight chance.
By Sunday, the low associated with this storm will move south, and we'll see the sun return yet again. Temperatures will be slow to warm, however.
