KEMP, Texas (AP) - A highly-recruited Texas high school running back has been arrested in a town east of Dallas on a charge of fleeing police in a vehicle.

Records show Soso Jamabo, whose legal name is Sotonye Josiah Jamabo, was booked into the Kaufman County Jail early Sunday morning. Kemp Police Chief Robert Walker said that the 18-year-old Jamabo was booked on a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle.

Jamabo, a UCLA recruit, plays for Plano West High School in suburban Dallas.

Bond was set at $7,500. Jail records did not list an attorney for him. A possible home phone number went unanswered.

UCLA Associate Athletic Director Josh Rupprecht said they are aware of the reports regarding Jamabo. He says they are concerned and are gathering more information.
