Two vehicles crash into tree on HWY 99

Two drivers are recovering this morning after an Oak tree fell onto Highway 99 near Vina causing a collision with one of the drivers.

The car crash happened around 6:10 a.m. just north of the Vina Cal Fire station.

According to the CHP, both drivers were heading northbound on the highway when the Oak tree all of sudden collapsed onto the road.

The driver of the blue Ford Mustang and the driver of a pick-up truck were both unable to brake before colliding with the tree.

The pick-up truck did not sustain any damage, but the mustang had significant damage.

Both lanes of Highway 99 were blocked for more than hour, northbound traffic was diverted at South Avenue.

Both drivers suffered no injuries during the time of the accident.
