Two motorcyclists injured after colliding with pickup

Two people are hospitalized today after a truck collided with a motorcycle last night in Orland on Highway 32.

A white Ford pickup truck and a Harley-Davidson carrying two riders collided in front of Dutch Brothers Coffee on Highway 32 near 9th Street around 8:20 Sunday night.

The driver of the bike, 58-year-old Larry Beck of Artois, was taken to Enloe Medical Center via ambulance.

The woman on the back of the bike, 36-year-old Darby Carpenter of Orland, was flight-cared to Enloe Medical Center. Her condition is unknown, but she was able to speak to police this morning.

The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
