Two men were able to save a man from drowning after his fishing kayak capsized on the Sacramento River Wednesday afternoon.
Rescue teams responded to reports of a capsized boat on the Sacramento River near Highway 32 and the Gianella Bridge just before 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Initial reports stated two people were in danger after the boat capsized near Irving Finch launch. When rescuers arrived they found a man in fishing kayak had capsized and was rescued by two men in the area.
The man was rushed to the hospital, but he was able to walk to the ambulance with assistance.
The Glenn County Sheriff's Office, Cal Fire, Chico Fire were all on the scene.
