LOS ANGELES (AP) - Twin brothers have been charged with stabbing to death a woman during a robbery as she walked home from a South Los Angeles supermarket.

Eighteen-year-olds Kenyata and Keishon Blake were charged Wednesday with murder and robbery with special circumstances. Prosecutors haven't decided whether to seek the death penalty.

Authorities say the brothers attacked 62-year-old Maria Elena Rivas three days before Christmas as she walked home after buying groceries.

Rivas was stabbed and her handbag stolen.

The brothers also are charged with robbing a woman outside of a liquor store last Friday.

They were arrested Monday and remain jailed on $1 million bail each.

Police say the brothers have a criminal history of assaults and robberies and may be linked to other attacks.
