Liberty and Spirit in high definition. After 10 years, Turtle Bay is swapping its popular eagle cameras for something a little fancier.

Friends of the Redding Eagles raised over $4,000 to buy two high-definition cameras to monitor Redding’s famous Eagle, Liberty.

The new cameras have a 24-hour time-lapse capability, and the installation and streaming services were donated by the project manager, who came up from San Diego.

A tree climber will be installing the cameras 100 feet in the air, in a tree. Anyone can view the eagle cameras on Turtle Bay’s website, and they are expected to be fully operational by Wednesday.
