Clearing skies, cooler temperatures, and less active weather are ahead for your Tuesday forecast. Temperatures are starting off in the high 60's to low 70's for the valley, and in the 50's for most mountain areas. This afternoon valley temperatures will climb into the high 80's to low 90's, and the mountains will be in the low to mid 80's for most areas.
The active weather we had yesterday is concentrated further to the East this morning, and there will only be a slight threat for showers, and thunderstorms for the Northern Sierra throughout the next few hours. Mild conditions will take hold of the north state later this afternoon, and continue through the rest of the week.
Stronger winds will increase the risk of fires spreading today, and the strongest winds are expected for the northern end of the Valley. Sustained wind will increase to around 15mph out of the South, and gusts could top 25mph this afternoon.
Even cooler temperatures, and more mild weather are ahead for your Wednesday. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday, and gets to enjoy these cooler conditions!
