Hot, and active conditions are ahead for your Monday forecast. Clouds are expected to track North from Southern California throughout the day, and active conditions could arrive as early as this afternoon. The potential for showers, and thunderstorms will ramp up tonight, and is expected to linger in the region through Tuesday night. There is a chance for flooding due to heavy precipitation in parts of the Sierra.
Temperatures are starting out in the low to mid 70's in the valley, and mid 50's to low 60's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the 99 to 102 degree range for the valley, and into the mid 80's to mid 90's in the mountains. Active conditions are expected to linger into your Tuesday evening, but temperatures will not be as hot. Tuesday's highs will only climb into the mid to high 90's in the valley on Tuesday, and only into the low to mid 90's on Wednesday afternoon. Mild conditions, and below average temperatures will then extend into your weekend forecast. I hope everyone is ready for very active conditions ahead for tonight, stays safe on the wet roads later today, and has a marvelous Monday!
