A trial date has been set for the Palo Cedro man accused of killing his girlfriend's dog and then feeding her part of the remains
Ryan Watenpaugh, 34, has pleaded not guilty to charges of domestic violence, stalking, animal cruelty, and imprisonment and is now set to stand trial on March 17.
According to Redding Police investigators, Watenpaugh sent gruesome, detailed messages to his then-girlfriend, causing her to believe he was responsible for her dog's disappearance.
Watenpaugh has vehemently denied all the accusations and remains out of custody on bail.
