Two transients were arrested by Redding police Tuesday morning when they were caught red handed breaking into The Greek Shack on Hartnell Avenue.

A passer-by called 911 at 4:18 a.m. and told dispatchers there was a man in zebra striped pants trying to break in the restaurant's front door.

When officers arrived they found 29-year-old David Burdett standing near a window that had been pried open. As officers were talking to Burdett another man unsuspectingly crawled out of the window.

The second man was identified as 22-year-old David Hurn. Officers determined that Burdett was acting as a lookout while Hurn burglarized the restaurant.

Both men were booked into the Shasta County Jail for burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.
