LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man who sexually assaulted a woman on a Los Angeles commuter train has been sentenced to five years in state prison.
Twenty-three-year-old Danon Drake also was ordered Tuesday to register as a sex offender.
Authorities say he attacked a woman on a Metro Purple Line train in Koreatown in May. He pushed her down but she was able to kick him off and get away when the train stopped.
A train camera recorded Drake's photo and he surrendered to police after it was made public.
Last month, Drake pleaded no contest to two felony counts of sexual battery by restraint.
