A train derailment near Lake Almanor is causing some delays for the two Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.
Two cargo containers transporting sugar southbound from Greenville tilted off the tracks around 5 p.m. Monday.
Crews will remain on-scene, repairing the damaged track until sometime Wednesday.
BNSF spokesperson Lena Kent says the derailment is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
According to the Plumas County Sheriff's Office, there were no traffic delays or road closures related to the derailment.
