A two vehicle crash on Highway 99 slowed northbound traffic near East Avenue late Friday morning.

California Highway Patrol officers say a silver Honda Civic was traveling northbound around 11 a.m., approaching the East Avenue off-ramp, when the vehicle's front left tire blew out.

The tire damage caused the car to careen into a pickup truck and then go off the road, down an embankment and ending on the street below.

Nobody appears to have been seriously injured, however a passenger in the Civic was transported to Enloe Medical Center with minor injuries.

Traffic was moving uninterrupted by 11:30 a.m.
