This weekend Thunderhill Raceway in willows is putting Glenn county in the record books.
The raceway is hosting the 24 hours of lemons. 245 cars (lemons) are signed up for this event.
With the attendance, the race qualifies for a world record in the Guinness book-- the most cars to start in a car race.

That's if they start. They're not the types of cars you'd expect at a racetrack.. The cars will take to the new 5 mile stretch of the park. The rule is... you can't spend more than $500 dollars on your ride. If you don't know what you're doing, that's even better.

Jay Lamm who started the event never knew it would grow to this size. With most of the cars built for survival... not speed there's a lot more than racing going on.

Jay Lamm says tow trucks are on hand for the lemons that may not make it the whole weekend. It's pretty clear this is a weekend not to be missed.
if you want to catch all of the fun, it's $30 for the whole weekend of races... and you'll get to witness a world record.
