Three People Shot in Chico, Police Looking for Suspect

Chico Police are looking for a suspect who shot three people at a house party early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened just around 2:00 a.m. on the 1200 block of N. Cedar Street in Chico.

Chico Police Lt. Dave Britt says three people were taken to Enloe Medical Center, after a suspect opened fire and fled on foot.

Two people were taken by ambulance, while one of the victims walked to Enloe Medical Center emergency room, Britt said.

Police patrolled the area looking for the suspect but were unsuccessful at locating him or the weapon.

Investigators closed off N.Cedar Street from Second to Fourth Avenue as investigators gathered bullet casings and questioned witnesses at the scene.

Investigators are not ruling out the possibility this shooting might be gang-related, according to scanner traffic, the suspect might be affiliated with a gang.
