Three People Injured in Oroville Shooting

The Oroville Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning on the 1700 block of Daryl Porter Way in Oroville.

Three people suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to Oroville Hospital and Enloe Medical Center, Oroville Police Sgt. Ruben Quihuiz said.

Officers responded to shots heard just before 1:00 a.m. at an apartment complex. According to investigators at the scene, a group of people were at a party inside the apartment complex and a confrontation happened outside the parking lot.

Investigators say the suspect fired several rounds and was last seen leaving in undescribed vehicle minutes later.

Police are not saying if this shooting is gang-related or if the suspect knew any of the victims.

Quihuiz stated investigators are still questioning witnesses and have not located the weapon that was used in the shooting.

Two men were arrested for public intoxication and were taken into the Butte County Jail.
