A moment of hesitation at a Redding intersection turned into a three-car chain-reaction crash that sent one person to the hospital Friday morning.
The 10:35 a.m. crash closed the intersection at Lake Boulevard and St. Marks Drive for nearly an hour.
Investigators say the driver of a white SUV was heading west bound on St. Marks was attempting a left turn when the driver ahead of him apparently hesitated. That lead to a rear-end collision that forced a Dodge truck in the path of a Toyota pickup, which ended up colliding into a utility pole.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
