CAL Fire responded to a three-alarm large structure fire Wednesday afternoon in Gridley.
CAL Fire adds, 16 engines responded and about 80 fire fighters were on the scene. Multiple fire agencies are still on the scene early Thursday morning.
The fire was reported just after 4 p.m. Wednesday and destroyed a 100,000 square foot building on Kentucky Street.
Fire crews said they are attacking the fire from the exterior, as the structure is unstable.
Frank Bartholemucci, a witness said he saw think plumes of smoke a block away.
“The roof was engulfed, flames through the whole roof,” said Barthholemucci.
There are no reports of injuries and the cause has yet to be determined.
