Butte County authorities are searching for thieves who made off with more than $36,000 worth of tools, supplies and life-saving equipment from a volunteer fire station in Butte County.

The theft at Butte County Volunteer Fire Station 25, near Butte College, on Durham Pentz Road, happened sometime after 9 p.m. Monday.

An investigation is being conducted by the Butte County Sheriff's Office and Cal Fire officials. Anyone who can aid in recovering the stolen property, or who may have seen a vehicle in the area Monday night is asked to call the tip line at (530) 538-6837.

Last August, station 25 was burglarized and the suspects were arrested in Glenn County after surveillance video was released to the public.
