The Potential For Showers Lingers In Your Monday Forecast

Apr 11, 2016 10:26 AM by Cort Klopping

Mostly to partly cloudy skies, light South winds, and a slight chance for showers are ahead for your Monday. Showers have mostly died down early this morning, but Sierra showers will be possible this afternoon. There will be a very slim potential for valley and foothill showers this afternoon, but the best chance will rest in the Sierra. There will also be a slight chance for thunderstorms in the Sierra and Foothills this evening. There is a 10 percent chance of showers in the valley, and a 30 percent chance of showers in the Northern Sierra. Temperatures are starting out in the mid to high 50's in the valley, and in the mid 40's to mid 50's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the low to mid 70's in the valley, and into the high 50's to low 70's in the mountains. Winds will be up to 10mph out of the South.

Conditions will be very similar for your Tuesday forecast. Cloudy skies will linger across the region, and a very slight chance for showers will continue. A much better chance for precipitation and cooler temperatures will arrive in your mid week forecast. Snow levels could dip as low as 4000', and valley temperatures will only climb into the low to mid 60's on Thursday afternoon.

Sunny skies, and warmer temperatures will return to the region on Friday. Valley areas will climb back into the mid 70's on Friday, and will then climb back into the mid 80's this weekend. I hope everyone enjoys the mild conditions ahead for today, and has a marvelous Monday!
