Kids and their parents are excited to see a new addition to Oroville's River Bend Park.
A new free library kiosk is in place where anyone can now borrow a book.
The Little Free Library is built like a birdhouse and is full of donated books.
No need to worry about due dates or library cards..
Park-goers seemed to like the idea.
“Who's going to read that book to you," Mark Cullum asked.
“Grandpa,” she said.
"Anything that encourages reading and education is being interactive,” Cullum said.
Park goers said River Bend is a great location for the library since it attracts kids of all ages and reading offers a 'respite' from all the activity.
The Little Free Library is a non-profit organization encouraging children to read.
Other free libraries can be seen in MLK Park and Berry creek in Oroville as well as DeGarmo Park in Chico.
