Hotter temperatures, and sunny skies are returning in your Friday forecast. Temperatures are starting out the day in the low to mid 60's for the valley, and will climb into the low to mid 90's this afternoon. Mountain areas are starting off in the high 30's to low 40's for the Northern Sierra, and in the low 50's for the Northern Mountains. High temperatures in the mountains will mainly hover in the mid 80's, but some parts of the Northern Mountains will have low 90's.
There will be a slight chance for thunderstorms returning to the Northern Sierra today, but that threat is mainly limited to the Eastern slopes. Dry weather, and above average temperatures are ahead for the weekend. Temperatures will be very similar on Saturday, to what we have outside this afternoon, but slightly cooler conditions will be ahead for the start of next week.
Big changes are ahead in the extended forecast. Much cooler temperatures, and the potential for showers will be returning by Wednesday. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
