Hot, dry, and windy conditions are all ahead in your Wednesday forecast. Temperatures are starting off in the high 50's to low 60's for the valley, and are expected to climb into the mid 90's to low triple digits this afternoon. Mountain areas are starting out in the high 30's to high 40's, and will be climbing into the mid 80's to mid 90's.
North winds are picking up through this afternoon, and are projected to gust to around 20mph out of the North, with sustained winds to around 10mph in the valley. Mountain areas will have sustained winds up to around 15mph out of the Northeast this afternoon. Humidity values are also dropping today, and could bottom out at around 10%. The hot temperatures, stronger winds, and lower humidity values will all contribute to higher fire danger across the region.
The heat continues in your extended forecast, and hot temperatures are projected to linger through your weekend. Please make sure to stay hydrated, and dress for the hotter conditions over the next several days. I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!
