Yet another hot day around the North State today... But cooler weather is coming. We should see near average temperatures by early next week.
A good Delta Breeze picked up in the Valley today, which cooled us down ever so slightly from yesterday. We'll continue to cool down over the next few days as high pressure weakens... Look for highs to return to near average for early July by next week. Still hot... but a lot better than it has been recently!
Monsoon moisture is surging northward, and brought us partly cloudy skies today. We'll see an even bigger surge tomorrow, and we could even see a sprinkle in the Valley tomorrow evening. There should be enogugh moisture to spark an isolated afternoon thunderstorm in the mountains tomorrow and Friday. As the upper level winds begin to blow from the southwest, that should blow that moisture east, into Nevada.
So, it will be hot again tomorrow... but relief is on the way!
