44 year-old Olabaku Jones is facing murder charges for the beating death of 33-year-old Mary Abby Tucker at their Spencer Avenue home in Oroville in June 2013.

Testimony began Thursday morning, including an Oroville Police dispatcher who confirmed a 911 call she answered from Jones asking how to get rid of his girlfriend because he was "basically tired of her."

She also confirmed answering a medical call two days later, when Jones called saying "she" slipped and fell in the shower.

Prosecutors played the call for the jury from June 24. The dispatcher answered asking what was wrong, Jones replied "she fell in the shower." The dispatcher asked, "is she injured?" when the call was cut off.
