Tension between employee union and Butte County Board of Supervisors

The union representing the Butte County Skilled Trades Unit is asking the Board of Supervisors to move the vote on the Board’s pay increase from the Consent Agenda and discuss the matter in open session before a vote is taken.

According to United Public Employees of California Local 792 the Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote a 4.23% increase to the annual salary of Board Members, increasing the annual salary by $2,274 per year, effective February 2016.

A UPEC representative will make a request Tuesday.
