A K9 with the Tehama County Sheriff's Office has a new wardrobe after receiving his brand new vest.
K9- Booker recently received a ballistic vest thanks to the nonprofit organization, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., and a generous donation from The Hausman Family Foundation. In all, $15,000 was donated to the charity to provide bullet and stab protective vests for K9s in the state of California.
Tehama County was notified Booker would get one of the $950 vests back in February, but he is just now getting the chance to test it out.
Since 2009, Vested Interest in K9s has provided vests for more than 1200 law enforcement dogs in 40 states.
