Tehama County Sheriff's Office investigating Rolling Hills Casino, tribal funds

The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies are investigating the alleged misappropriation of more than a million dollars in tribal funds by members of a family disenrolled from the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians.

The Paskenta Band, owners of Rolling Hills Casino in Corning, recently diesenrolled about 40 members of the Henthorne-Pata family earlier this month.

Tribal members though did not specify all of the reasons behind the disenrollment at the time, but today along with the Tehama County Sheriff’s office confirmed that an investigation underway.

Action News Now has sought comment from members of the Henthorne-Pata family, but so far no statement has been made.
