Like other law enforcement agencies in the North State, recourses were stretched thin for the Tehama County Sheriff's Office over the busy weekend.
Since Thursday in Tehama County alone there was two homicides, and an armed home invasion robbery. Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston says he knows there were several other homicide investigations in other nearby counties including two in Glenn County. He says he has never heard of this much crime in one weekend.
"I don't recall a weekend where it has been spread over the North State like this and that we all, especially the I-5 corridor communities have been tasked with these types of crimes." says Johnston.
In addition to those investigations, the sheriff's office is helping the Shasta County Sheriff's Office with the search for a missing 6-month-old baby.
