A Tehama County patient suspected of having the measles has tested negative for the virus, health officials confirmed Friday.
On Monday, a local doctor told health officials that a patient had a fever and rash, and the doctor suspected it was a case of the measles.
The patient was quarantined inside their home while awaiting test results.
No North State cases of the measles have been reported since an outbreak started in mid-December when at least 40 people who visited or worked at Disneyland in Orange County contracted measles. The virus has now spread to at least 92 people and spans across at least six states and into Mexico.
